Creative Content Comes to Aspinwall: WCM and Our New Neighborhood

Wrecking Crew Media moved to Aspinwall in January of 2018 after over a decade-long presence in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. Our move brought changes, challenges and new opportunities to create. Our space, previously an optical center, was completed renovated and customized to fit the WCM aesthetic and brand. And our new neighbors have been so receptive!

This sweet community east of the city has really embraced us, from curious neighbors dropping into the studio for a friendly hello to our involvement with a very welcoming Aspinwall Chamber of Commerce. We’re pleased to be supporting the local shops and eateries while building connections with other small businesses.

One could never go hungry on our block. Bakeries, coffee shops, pizzerias and restaurants are just a few steps away in every direction. Most of our days at the studio start with a coffee or wrap from Aspinwall Beans ‘N’ Cream on Brilliant or a juice from Salud Juicery here on Commercial. Lunch choices abound, with Cornerstone, Tavern in the Wall, Caliente and Spice Affair all within a short proximity. Casa del Sole remains our go to for takeout, Feast on Brilliant has been excellent as a caterer and quick grocer and we’ve spent some afternoons soaking up both the sun and libations at Luke’s Front Porch.

We’re big fans of Towne Drug, Touch of Whimsy and ESSpa Kozmetika. Supporting such a welcoming community is easy when the neighbors offer the best services around. Locals say we fit right in.
